MOB 2: Chastising the Idiot Prince!

“w… wh… what… you… you! What do you think you’re doing! You’re not allowed to raise your hand to the first prince, dammit!”

“Huh? I didn’t raise my hand. I merely put my foot out.”

“He-hey, you’re ridiculous! This is disrespectful!”

“Where’s the disrespect, you moron? What kind of delusional thinking has you saying you want a different girl on the first day you get engaged, you jerk?

Unbelievable. I thought you’d have more sense, you prince.

“I’m just telling you the truth! What’s wrong with telling the truth!”

“What? What’s wrong with telling the truth? Can’t you figure it out? You’re a prince, aren’t you? Aren’t you going to be the head of this country? Do you think you can just say whatever comes to mind? What’s wrong with you?”

“What do you mean by that? Why can’t I say whatever I want! I’m a prince. Why should I have to put up with this?!”

Seriously, this guy. I thought he was a moron, an idiot, even in the game, but I didn’t realize he was this stupid… what the hell is going on? (Sigh)

“Yeah… you know what? You’re a prince, aren’t you? And you’ll be king someday, right? So, in a way, that would make you the supreme authority.”

“Yes! So there’s no need for me to endure this!”

“Your words. Your behavior. Your ideas. All of that will be the ‘will’ of the state, right? You… You have no idea what you’re doing. You speak without a second thought as if you had a sponge instead of a brain. It’s going to be the ‘will’ of this country, you know? Do you understand that part, don’t you?”

“Well, that’s… well, of course, I understand!”

“Huh! If you understand what I’m saying, then those words wouldn’t have come out of your mouth! Let me tell you something, okay? How do you think other people would feel about it? I’m just saying it might make them feel uncomfortable, that’s all. Do you think people will follow a king who doesn’t care about others? The people of this nation are a treasure!”

Prince Zeke starts to choke at my words. Well, do you get it?

“… Yes, I admit I was rash. And I apologize for speaking as I pleased, without considering your perspective.

“… Oh?”

… uh-huh. I know this guy.

“But I’d still rather have Lilly over you!

“You are still a little shit!”

I didn’t understand. I glare at Prince Zeke as he continues to speak.

“Well, at least Lily wouldn’t kick her foot at me! That one point alone shows you’re not a qualified lady! Who would want such a woman as a queen!”

Ouch… and yet, you know what?

“I didn’t do it because I wanted to! It’s because you were so rude to me! Well, now I’m going to knock some sense into you, you little shit!”

“You’ve already beaten me up!”

“Come on! This is all your fault in the first place. You’re a prince! So act like one!”

“What the hell? There’s nothing about me that’s not princely!”

“What’s princely about you? Even an idiot can do what he wants to do, just to show off! You’re just a selfish prince!”

“Oh! You think I’m an idiot! There’s no way I’m an idiot!”

“No, you’re an idiot. You know what? You don’t have feelings for me or anything, right? Then this is a perfect political marriage, isn’t it?”

“Yes! I don’t want—”

“A prince like you. What a letdown!”

“Pfft. What that’s supposed to mean?”

“It means I don’t expect anything of you!”

“What…Wait, you don’t expect anything? Hey! I’m the prince of the land. You can’t talk to the prince like that, dummy! I’ll be a hundred times more understanding when it comes to the people. You think it’s okay to tell the prince that you don’t expect anything from him!”

“Seriously? ‘You can’t talk to the prince like that?’ Moron. In the first place, our engagement is a win-win situation, right? There may be some things you disagree with, but shouldn’t you have some understanding? Right? How can you be abusive to a person out of nowhere? Is that how a king acts?”

“Such a prince is the next king of the country? Oh, what a shame. This country is a sinking ship. We’ll be destroyed!”

Sieg’s expression says, “Ugh,” but he doesn’t seem to have any intention of backing down.

“Okay, then? Why don’t you behave like you’re in diplomatic waters right now, instead of the way you did before? We can’t afford a single international incident.”

“I’ll be fine out there!”

“Ha! I don’t know. Do you think you think you’re capable after the way you just acted towards me?”

“Hey, I’m a prince, and your father is just a duke!” Prince Zeke turns red in the face and yells that.

You’re kidding me, pal.

“Hmmm. So you’d be acting like this if you went to a country smaller than the Kingdom of Smola?

“That’s not what I said!”

“Why? It’s the same thing. The point is that anyone lower than you in status, you can disrespect, right?

“That’s not…” Prince Zeke bit his lip and stared at me as if he couldn’t speak. “Hey, you’ll pay for this! I’m going to tell your father!” He left my room after saying such a bratty thing.

Hey! What do you mean about telling my father, you idiot?

…and then… I cooled down a little bit. “Oh, man… I fought with a seven-year-old.” I buried my face in the bed and kicked my legs. This is not how a woman nearing her thirties acts…

Author note: That was fun! I can’t wait to see what happens next! “Hang in there, Alice, hang in there. If any of you think this is a good idea, please leave a comment and rate it… it’s very encouraging. Please!

  1. Thank you for translating this! I’m really enjoying the tactics Alice is using to knock sense into the crown prince’s brain. It will be interesting to see her interactions with the other capture targets as well. Hopefully, there will be some improvement in their behavior and thought processes!
I sincerely hope you continue translating this refreshing series. Thanks again.
